If a certificate expires, it might be necessary to remove the expired certificate and install a new one, also known as re-enrolling. This document contains instructions for doing this on a Mac device, Windows Device, iPhone, and Android device.
Mac
To delete a certificate from a Mac device:
- Go to System Preferences → Profiles, then delete the Albert Einstein College of Medicine EinsteinSecure mobileconfig certificate.
- Restart the device and then install the new certificate via connect.einsteinmed.edu.
Windows
To delete a certificate from a Windows device:
- Select Run from the Start menu, and then type certmgr.msc. The Certificate Manager tool for the current user will appear.
- Select Certificates.
- Select Current User → Personal → Certificates and the certificate you want is called Albert Einstein College of Medicine EinsteinSecure mobileconfig.
- Choose that certificate and delete it.
- Restart the device and then install the new certificate via connect.einsteinmed.edu.
iPhone
To delete a certificate from an iPhone:
- Go to Settings → General.
- Select VPN Device Management.
- Delete the configuration profile labeled Albert Einstein College of Medicine EinsteinSecure mobileconfig. It may be in red if it is expired.
- Restart the device and then install the new certificate via connect.einsteinmed.edu.
Android
Deleting a certificate from an Android device varies depending on the device, but generally:
- Look under Settings and search for user certificates. The User Certification folder will appear.
- Delete the Albert Einstein College of Medicine EinsteinSecure mobileconfig certificate there.
- Restart the device and then install the new certificate via connect.einsteinmed.edu.
